Metal Designz Stainless Steel Collection - Square Half Persian 4-1 Bracelet Kit

Our Stainless Steel Collection is an Intermediate level because the rings are a bit harder to manipulate. We make these rings from a softer temper of steel so they are MUCH easier to use than regular steel jump rings. Stainless Steel NEVER needs to be cleaned or polished. Easiest to care for!

This bracelet kit includes Square Wire Stainless Steel Rings and one Stainless Steel Clasp to make 8 inches of bracelet.  It also includes the  instructions package for the pattern.  It's a great pattern for men and women's jewellery alike!

THIS KIT IS CONSIDERED TO BE A DIFFICULT LEVEL.  The Persian Family is trickier to learn... We recommend K. Karon's book

CHAIN MAILLE JEWELRY WORKSHOP K KARON  She has a unique and brillant method to conquer the persian family!

Details

  • All Project kits come with all rings, instructions, and findings needed to make the project as photoed and described above.
  • You will need pliers - one pair for each hand to complete this project.
  • We recommend pliers with no teeth - Our favourite tool are these Xurons.  They are the best tool we have found!
  • These Chain Nose pliers are a less expensive tool but work well for these kits.
  • These Wide Nose pliers are great for kits that use rings larger than 18 gauge.

    Wow!! It was fun.

First, I agree with the recommendation of Karen Karon's book "Chain Maille Jewelry Workshop". The book is my go to guide for everything. When I originally bought this kit, I was unfamiliar with HP4-1. The instructions were well written and include making it with EPDM rings. The second reason I bought this kit was to get the chance to work with Metal Designz stainless steel. Their stainless is awesome. I didn't fight with it at all, but you can tell it is sturdier than aluminum. I used roughly the same amount of muscle as with copper rings. I didn't need to take the breaks like I usually take when working with other supplier's stainless. Less strain to the body, less slippage of pliers on metal and looks awesome.
