Because there is colour difference between the core and outside metal, you can get some cool design possibilities by sanding off the outer coating in strategic places to get different designs! This is NOT Silver Plate -- The Silver coating constitutes a full 1/10th of its overall weight. So it's a heavy duty coating, unlike your average plating. These rings are also stronger than silver so they are wonderful for chain mail!This size works well for the Euro 4-1, shaggy loops
