Scale Butterfly Kit - Makes 5 Butterflies.
This cute little design was shared by Tammy Thompson-Kleiwer at Mariposa Bead Company. We changed up the sizes a little so the butterflies are easier to put together! This kit comes with Instructions, Rings, and Scales to make 5 butterflies. If you would like to convert them to key rings, we suggest buying a hole punch (we recommend the 1.8mm Euro tool punch available here on our site), and some key rings. Each kit includes a nice selection of coloured scales. The Rings are Bright Aluminum. We chose not to offer scale colour choice for this kit, because we didn't want an out of stock colour to hold up orders. And since each butterfly has 6 scales the colour possibilities are endless. We did our best to match nice colours together! Kit does not include finished Butterflies. Those are available under finished jewelry.Some Scales have a blue or clear protective film that must be removed when weaving. The Gold and silver scales have a mirror polish finish under the film!

- All Project kits come with all rings, instructions, and findings needed to make the project as photoed and described above.
- You will need pliers - one pair for each hand to complete this project.
- We recommend pliers with no teeth - Our favourite tool are these Xurons. They are the best tool we have found!
- These Chain Nose pliers are a less expensive tool but work well for these kits.
- These Wide Nose pliers are great for kits that use rings larger than 18 gauge.

Cute and easy
Assembly is fairly easy, just review the directions and lay out the pieces, the butterflies are cute, did purchase the punch tool to make them into key chains, looking forward to purchasing more

Fun little kit
I've previously bought the scale bracelet/earring kit and wanted to try another kit from this company. I received the kit within about a week of ordering it. The instructions were helpful and there was a fun selection of scale colors to mix and match. Great service and product as usual!
